‘A ghost town’: Living under Hamas rocket fire in Israel’s Ashkelon

Even before war broke out, Israel’s southern city of Ashkelon was frequently targeted by Hamas rockets fired from Gaza. But now, the number of strikes has soared and some 30 percent of the city’s population has left for safer parts of the country.
