With some 15 million people expected to visit Paris next summer for the Olympic Games and France already on its highest threat alert level, members of the Paris police’s bomb disposal unit are getting ready for what their head has dubbed the “considerable challenge” of ensuring security during the event and a likely surge in abandoned and suspicious packages.
