DR Congo voters head to the polls Wednesday to elect a new president even as authorities scramble to finalise preparations in an election facing steep logistical and security challenges. Some 44 million people are eligible to vote, though many are expected to shun the election, including in Pakadjuma, a sprawling Kinshasa slum with no running water or sewage system.
